The first component of the book begins out with the common layout of a household plumbing program, and why factors like drain, waste, and vent systems are important. He also goes into what tools are critical when it comes to plumbing repairs. That's quite possibly the very first honestly useful issue for me, as my tool collection is... "lacking", and going to a shop doesn't necessarily tell you why you'd want something like a spud wrench. The following sections get into the details of precise repair jobs, total with images (not generalized line drawings), a list of tools you are going to need to have, materials you are going to have to use, and how lengthy it will need to take. Being aware of me, I'd double that last figure, and then double it once more. And if I beat that time, I'd be feeling genuine "manly". :) I actually wish I'd have had this book when we replaced our toilet. My wife and I would have resumed talking to every single other a lot sooner...
The Component of Tens section is also useful for those little gems that you do not believe of when you start a project... like trying to start and finish your project for the duration of store hours so you do not finish up stuck overnight with no toilet or water pressure in the home. Also there is the tips to purchase the appropriate tools for the job at hand, and add to the collection as you do new projects. I will not tell you what I've ended up employing pipe wrenches for when particular other tools are not obtainable to me.
I am certain all the household repair specialists are probably thinking I am a major wuss when it comes to fixing stuff. They'd be right. But with a book like this, I'm inspired to at least give the repair a try just before springing for the price of a skilled. Although the whole propane blow-torch factor? I don't assume so...

Book arrived currently. I wanted this to learn how to repair leaky faucet handles and it does not include that fairly fundamental information. This is a particularly slim book of limited utility. I will say the pictures for the repairs that are detailed are fairly fine. Nevertheless, this is a poorly made and rather unprofessional supplying, that is truly complete of formatting errors, like incorrect headers on pages. Which does not inspire self-confidence in their guidance!
At least it is low cost. I will most likely be donating it to the corner charity shop later this afternoon.
